Hammon,
Douglas, age 57 of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday January 18, 2012. He was born on April 4, 1954 to the late James and Rebecca
Hammon.
Doug is survived by his wife of 34 years, Dianna Hammon; 3 children, Craig (Mandy) Hammon, Danielle (Nikki)
Hammon and Shanon (Adam) Hammon; 2 grandchildren, Evyn and Avery; brother, James (Glenda) Hammon; best friend, Beaner; and
other family members and good friends.
Doug was a volunteer fire fighter for Kettering Fire Department Station
33 for 16 years, 13 of which he served as Captain. He was active in many groups around Dayton, some of which include, the
Wee Firebirds, Impressions Dance Team “The Prop Pop”, as well as the Dayton RC Boat Club. He coached soccer, softball
and baseball for many years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doug’s honor to The Way of the
Cross Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to O’Neil’s & Associates, and Brother Bill
Loudermilk and the members of The Way of the Cross Church for their support.
A funeral service was held on Saturday
January 21, 2012 at 12:00 pm at The Way of the Cross Church.
